Who is Mr. Beast and Why This Could be One of the Most Important Weekends for NASCAR.

I was browsing along the internet as someone might do and I found this.

Preliminary Entry List

Just another entry list? Wrong. This is one of the first signs of something truly amazing coming to the series next week. Look at entry #19. Josh Reaume’s 2019 Toyota Tundra is sponsored by someone named Mr Beast. So who is this man and why would he sponsor a Truck.

Mr Beast is a youtube sensation. His content consists of him just spending a lot of money. He rose to fame by donating thousands of dollars to video game live streamers and recording their reactions. But why is his presence different than any other sponsors?

Mr Beast actually brings an audience. With a follower base of more that 15 million and many of his videos getting more views than the Daytona 500 got this year, Mr Beast’s sponsorship means more than just the money he put into the sport. He not only brings his viewer base but it is expected that he will place “Subscribe to Pewdiepie” on the hood of the car, tapping into Pewdiepie’s own 87 million strong viewer base. Although it would be hard to expect every single follower turn on the race this Friday, I would expect this to be one of the most viewed truck races this year if not this century.

These are not just viewers though. These people are part of the demographic that NASCAR has claimed to struggle with in the past. This is a great opportunity to get racing back in front of younger audiences who have already deemed this sport to be not worth their time.

With all the excitement behind this race, I hope that the truck series can put on another great race like they do so often. Hopefully Kyle Bush does not run away with it and maybe we can have a storybook ending in the desert for Josh Reaume and Mr. Beast and Pewdiepie.
